Harrington is a large site, adjacent to Junction 7 of the M40, comprising 500 hectares (1260 acres) of land capable of providing a new planned community, with all the facilities required for a population of over 15,000 people. An important piece of the jigsaw within the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, which has an ambition to become a world-leading economic area, it is the next logical location for newly planned development strategically located between Oxford and London.

Charlton Brown has been working alongside the UK’s best masterplanners, architects, sustainability and zero-carbon experts, transport consultants and social impact thought leaders to create a vision for a settlement at Harrington. Rooted in historical context yet designed for the future, every aspect of the planning and design responds to the biggest issue facing us all: the future of our planet. With a response to climate change in it’s DNA, Harrington will enable residents to lead meaningful ‘one-planet’ lives.
